Ayana Shannon joined the CollegeBound Foundation in 2007. Her previous assignment was serving as a Resident Director at Bowie State University where she dedicated her efforts to preparing students for life in and after college. Ms. Shannon believes strongly in preparing students to become self-sufficient in the world. Over the last few years Ms. Shannon has worked tirelessly with Baltimore City’s youth to encourage, motivate and inspire them to stay focused on their goals and reach their potential.
Ms. Shannon received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master’s of Science in Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University. Her working style is open and straight forward driven by passion and strong work ethic. As a CAPS for CollegeBound Foundation, Ms. Shannon strives to push every student to find their purpose in life and to allow post-secondary education to be a vessel to their dreams. With hard work, and determination she knows that every student has the opportunity to achieve that dream.
