India Leach grew up in Baltimore City and graduated from Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School. Holding a Maryland State Cosmetologist License and a Commercial Drivers License enabled her to work her way through college. Ms. Leach received a Bachelor of Science in Communication and a Citation in African American Studies from the University of Maryland at College Park.
