Jamaal C. Barnes
Digital Harbor High School

Born with a developmental disorder, Jamaal recognized at an early age that he could accomplish anything he wanted—he would just have to put his heart and soul into it. And that is what he has done. His counselor explained it best when he said, “Jamaal is relentless in his pursuit to be better.”

In addition to serving on every advocacy and school board existing at Digital Harbor, Jamaal is the President of the SGA, the lead networker of the Robotics Team, and a member of the National Honor Society. Dedicated to his community, Jamaal has earned over 300 community service hours helping to fundraise and clean up his neighborhood. Jamaal even gets up at 4:30 every morning to help set-up breakfast and lunch at his school cafeteria.

Passionate about technology and electronics, Jamaal plans to attend McDaniel College.
