Lauren Johnson
Western High School

With a desire to become a pediatrician, Lauren has excelled in her rigorous math and science courses.  In addition to leading her peers as the Vice President of her class, Lauren also interned for three summers with the Baltimore City Youth Works Summer Job Program; two summers as a counselor at Fitness Fun and Games and most recently during the summer of 2009 as an intern at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.  Devoted to bettering her community, Lauren has logged over 700 community service hours, working with various community organizations mentoring adolescents and children.  Lauren hopes to attend Johns Hopkins University or the University of Maryland College Park.
