Teri Porter
New Era Academy High School

Teri is a student highly motivated to succeed in the classroom, in extracurricular activities, and in life.  With dreams of becoming a child psychologist, Teri has worked extremely hard to stay at the top of her class all four years of high school, while challenging herself with AP courses, the African American History Club, and the Baltimore Urban Debate League.  In addition to volunteering with two after school programs working with children, Teri also won an esteemed spot in the Johns Hopkins Internship for Brain Sciences and was awarded a Ben Carson Scholarship.  Teri hopes to attend Towson University or Johns Hopkins University next fall.
