CollegeBound Foundation Spring 2008 College Fairs

One of the goals of the CollegeBound Foundation is to bring the college message to greater numbers of students by delivering more college resources to 20 Baltimore City schools which partner with CollegeBound.  The more “real life” college and career experiences urban high school youngsters are exposed to, the more likely they will be motivated to realize their dream of a college education and a rewarding career.

One real life experience that CollegeBound has infused into our neighborhood high school cultures is the College/Career Fair.  Through statewide partnerships with college and university admission and financial aid officers, CollegeBound announces its Spring 2008 College Fair schedule.

Scholarship & Grant Applications

The scholarships found in the links below are open to all Baltimore City Public High School students. Some awards recognize and reward community service efforts; others are directed to support efforts of students pursuing specific career goals. Each scholarship lists the amount of the award, the eligibility criteria, and the application requirements.

Scholar of the Week

The Scholar of the Week award, presented by the CollegeBound Foundation, recognizes the hard work and dedication of the talented youth of Baltimore City, many of whom face significant financial and personal challenges in their lives. This program helps meet CollegeBound Foundation's mission of encouraging and enabling Baltimore's underserved youth to go to college by motivating other youth to consider higher education.

The Scholar of the Week program is made possible by a grant from the Travelers Foundation, which is matched by the Fox45/CWBaltimore television station. The CollegeBound Foundation recognizes its "college bound" scholars during a broadcasting schedule via Fox45/CWBaltimore television. 2008 Scholar of the Week Recipients
