4,000 HIGH SCHOOL SENIOIRS ATTEND COLLEGEBOUND'S FALL COLLEGE FAIRS

For Immediate Release

In the short span of five days early in November, over 4,000 high school students flooded into high school gymnasiums across Baltimore City to meet and speak with dozens of College admission officers from colleges and universities throughout Maryland and its bordering states of Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia, and Virginia.

CollegeBound's school based college fair initiative has increased the number of neighborhood high school students who attend a college fair by 400 percent over the past three years. An experience, once primarily enjoyed by kids attending citywide high schools or private schools, is now afforded those students with the greatest need.

For many academically minded students, the college fair is the first step in making their dream of college a reality. There is no substitute for the opportunity to speak one-on-one with the person who may decide as to whether or not you are accepted into college.

"A college educated citizenry benefits every aspect of our community and strengthens our regions' economic and social fabric"
