CONSTELLATION ENERGY COMMODITIES GROUP "POWERS"
COLLEGEBOUND COLLEGE CENTER AT DUNBAR HIGH SCHOOL
For Immediate Release
In recognition of CollegeBound Foundation's continued work in providing vital college
information and financial aid resources to many underserved Baltimore City high school
students, Constellation Energy Commodities Group has made a generous contribution to fund
the College Access Center at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School.
This contribution will help CollegeBound Foundation reach thousands of underserved
Baltimore City high school students who might otherwise give up on the idea of a college
education. The vast majority of students the CollegeBound Foundation provides college
advising for are the first in their families to pursue a college education.
CollegeBound Foundation's efforts have notably increased the number of Baltimore City high
school students, many from the most distressed neighborhoods, applying to college and
seeking financial aid. The broader goal of the program is to prepare our youth to become
productive members of Baltimore's workforce and to contribute to the strengthening of the
social and economic fabric of Baltimore's metropolitan area. Involvement from the
business community, such as the contribution from Constellation Energy Commodities Group,
demonstrates that CollegeBound's mission is a vital component to the growth of our region.
During the past academic school year, CollegeBound Foundation has made it possible for:
1,300 Baltimore City Seniors to be accepted into college, and
Over 13,000 BCPSS students to receive college information, and
7,500 BCPSS students to visit a college campus, and
Over $300,000 in direct college tuition grants to be awarded!
The financial support from Constellation Energy Commodities Group helps CollegeBound
Foundation continue to make the dream of college a reality for Baltimore's youth.
