Rebecca Keene

Becky was born in Washington, D.C., and grew up in Virginia and Maryland. She is an educator with more than 15 years of experience, dedicated to expanding opportunities for students and supporting their path to college success. She holds a B.A. in English and Spanish from Colgate University and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Columbia University’s Teachers College.  Becky has taught in multiple states and across a wide range of grade levels, developing inclusive, culturally responsive curricula and leading initiatives in literacy, data-driven instruction, and student leadership. Her experience spans elementary, middle, and high school classrooms, as well as teacher mentoring, parent engagement, and after-school programming. While teaching high school, she also coached JV Girls Soccer and advised the National Honor Society. Before entering education, Becky worked in marketing and communications at an investment bank.  With a passion for equity, strong communication skills, and a student-centered approach, Becky brings a warm, relationship-focused perspective to her work with the CollegeBound Foundation.
