Responsibilities:  

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy and mission, vision, and values of the organization.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure accuracy of data.
  • Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Develop and implement performance management systems to ensure fair and consistent evaluation of employee performance.
  • Collaborate with Training Department to develop and roll out employee skills and competency trainings.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in human resource management.
  • Prepare and analyze HR reports to support decision-making processes.
  • Oversee HR policies and procedures to include writing new policies, periodically reviewing existing policies and making recommendations to the Executive Director and management team on any changes to policies.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience as an HR Manager or similar role.
  • Experience and fluency with labor laws and regulations including FMLA and pay transparency.
  • Strong knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now, or other HRIS/payroll systems and experience processing bi-weekly payroll.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Master’s degree
  • 5 years’ experience as an HR Manager
