Walter M. Pearson is a dynamic leader and advocate dedicated to closing the college graduation gap between students from underrepresented communities and their peers from majority communities. With over 25 years of experience in education and college administration, he has successfully guided and empowered thousands of students to achieve their academic goals.  With a deep understanding of industry best practices, Walter has developed and implemented programs that enhance student access to financial support and foster college readiness. Through personalized coaching, workshops, and valuable resources, he equips parents and students with the tools to navigate the college admissions process successfully.  Walter’s commitment extends beyond his professional endeavors. He actively engages with various organizations, serving on executive boards and advocating for educational advancement. A proud graduate of Howard University, he continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of students and families, creating a more equitable and inclusive educational landscape.

Married to Lisa Pearson and blessed with three exceptional children, Walter takes great pride in his family. Their three children are shining stars in their own right, achieving remarkable milestones in their educational journeys.  Savannah Pearson, the eldest, is not only a source of immense pride but also a Meyerhoff  STEM Scholar and a UNCF STEM Scholar. Her dedication to science and learning has earned her prestigious accolades and recognition within the academic community.  Tori Pearson, a bright and talented individual, has been awarded the Disney NAT GEO Medio Scholarship, as well as distinguished scholarships from UNCF, Papa John’s, Spotify, and Target. Her achievements reflect her commitment to excellence and her potential to make a significant impact in her chosen field.  The youngest, Michael Pearson, is carving his own path of success as he pursues a finance major at Howard University, expected to graduate in 2027.

Walter’s unwavering passion and expertise in college planning and student success make him a trusted leader in the field. His dedication to closing the college graduation gap drives his work, as he strives to empower underrepresented students and create a brighter future for all.
