Ibon Cerezo-Mendoza is a graduate of Baltimore City College High School, and she is pursuing a degree in biology with a minor in fine arts at Haverford College. Previously involved in MERIT and Adelante Latina, she is enthusiastic about a future in the medical field that includes her experience with art. She hopes to gain more experience with research over the summer with Carolyn and incorporate her artistic background into a final project.
At Haverford College, she engages in a leadership position in Active Minds, a club that promotes campus wide mental health. In addition, she is the prospective treasurer of a sewing club that educates others on sewing skills and donates projects to help those in need. With these leadership skills, she hopes to refine them over the summer by working in a large team such as College Bound.
