College Completion Program
Program Accomplishments for the 2023-2023 Academic Year:
Student Persistence: Our 2020 cohort is on track to graduate at 71%. These rates are nearly double the college graduation rate of Baltimore City public school graduates attending a 4-year college.
Expanded Programming: We hosted a Winter Workshop series covering topics ranging from improving study skills to deciding on graduate schools. We held a massive 350-person End of Year Event celebration. 2024 also saw the launch of our Professional Mentoring Program, which connects upper-level students with professionals working in their desired field, and our collaboration with CollegeBound’s Strategic Partnerships team to pair students with internship opportunities.
Scholar growth: We welcomed 205 incoming First-Year students, bringing the total number of active students in the program to 445.Â
Staff growth: We added two Associate Directors alongside 4 College Completion Program Advisors.Â
College partner expansion: With our increased first-year class, we expanded to work with seven new institutions. 2024-2025 has seen even more growth, adding 15 additional schools. Our advisors currently work with scholars in 23 colleges and universities in Maryland and 29 out-of-state.
