Camila Calero is a Baltimore native, a graduate of Baltimore City College High School, and alumna of ¡Adelante Latina!. She is currently pursuing a degree in International Studies at American University. As a first-generation college student, Camila is passionate about expanding educational opportunities and empowering young people to create change in their communities.
Throughout high school and college, Camila has been actively involved in youth leadership and community advocacy across Baltimore. Through her work with Baltimore’s Promise, she has helped direct funding to organizations supporting youth mental health, mentorship, academic success, and career development, and now serves as Co-Chair of the Community Advisory Board. She has also gained experience in public service, nonprofit leadership, and civic engagement through internships with Baltimore Homecoming, the City of Baltimore, and other community organizations. Camila is excited to spend her summer with ¡Adelante Latina! at CollegeBound and support the next generation of Baltimore City Public Schools students as they pursue their educational and professional goals.
