Alexandra Elizondo

Alexandra Elizondo is a Texas-born educator and mentor who is passionate about supporting students as they navigate their academic and professional journeys. She attended Rice University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Cell Biology, followed by a Master of Science in Medical Science from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. She later attended The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine before shifting her focus toward higher education and student success.  Before joining CollegeBound, Alexandra worked as an adjunct professor of Human Anatomy and Physiology and as a professional tutor and instructor, where she guided students across the country in building confidence, mastering challenging college coursework, and preparing for long-term success. Her experience has given her a deep appreciation for the power of mentorship and the importance of equitable access to education.  Originally from San Antonio, Alexandra recently relocated to Maryland and is excited to continue her work with Baltimore students through the College Completion Program. She is particularly passionate about providing culturally responsive advising and supporting the city’s growing Latine student population.  Outside of work, Alexandra enjoys exploring the East Coast and its vast culinary and cultural landscapes; relaxing with TV, movies, and reading; and spending time with her dog, Lady, and cat, Juniper.
