Ana Ortiz was born in Bogota, Colombia, but migrated to Arlington, Virginia, where she graduated from Washington-Liberty High School. In 2019, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations and a minor in Environmental Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University. Since then, Ana has worked in the DMV area non-profit sector, helping youth navigate the education system and the college admissions process and providing social services to low-income and immigrant communities. As an immigrant, Ana owes her continued success to the help of community organizations like The CollegeBound Foundation, so she is excited to pay it forward and use her skills to help the Baltimore City Public Schools students in their path to college and career success.
