Asia Bailey is a native of Baltimore and a proud graduate of Western High School (class of 2009). After high school, Asia continued her education at Benedict College in Columbia, SC. There she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation and Leisure Services with a concentration in Recreation Therapy, became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc (Kappa Beta Chapter) and served 4 years as a College Athlete on the Benedict College Women’s Volleyball Team (NCAA, DII). Following her undergraduate years, Asia went on to work as a Recreation Therapy Assistant before transitioning to the Social Work field in 2015. During this transition, she earned a Master of Social Work Degree from Walden University and worked with both youth and adult populations. She also served as a JV Volleyball Coach to a nearby Howard County High School and as volunteer coach for Western High School Varsity Volleyball Team. Asia looks forward to implementing her knowledge of working in micro social work to making an impact on a macro level in higher education and assisting the youth/new student generation.
