Baltimore Polytechnic Institute’s Scholar of the Week is Ajibola Al-Ameen Igbin. He is an exceptionally dedicated and self-motivated learner who approaches challenges with full focus and resolve. He is an open-minded scholar who has lived in many diverse places and seeks to learn from others wherever he goes. He has lived in Estonia and Texas before moving to Baltimore and had to learn both Spanish and French quickly in order to stay on pace with his peers which is an impressive testament to his adaptability and intellectual agility. His was active in the student body as a class representative and volunteer in his school and church in Estonia and has continued his involvement at Poly participating in the Wall Street Parrots, Volleyball, and Chess Clubs. A talented multi-disciplined individual, Ajibola knows that he will major in engineering. He is a student whose determination and enthusiasm for learning set him apart from both in and out of the classroom. Ajibola Al-Ameen Igbin is a global citizen who is excited about his future, resilient in the face of obstacles, and a bright and joyful person who will become a valued member of any community he joins.
