When George Dukes first came to Reginald F. Lewis High School he was known throughout the school as a phenomenal athlete whose talent would take him to the next level. He was always a students that others looked up to and wanted to be around. While many others shy away from the responsibility that popularity brings, George embraced it with maturity. He would go on to use his popularity and influence to inspire others as he maintained a 4.0 GPA, led the basketball teams in scoring, earned the title of team captain in football, served as the student body president, and unofficial ambassador for the school as well as the city wide male initiative, all while assisting his family at home.
