Shantika is an enthusiastic learner with an inquisitive nature and commitment to kindness. Shantika’s extracurricular life is filled with passion, projects, and things that help broaden her existing interests. She’s noted for her steadfast completion of high caliber work and eagerness to learn in a faced-paced rigorous STEM curriculum. Through MERIT Baltimore (a program that develops health leaders from underrepresented populations) and the Johns Hopkins SARE program, she conducted independent scientific research. Shantika is a Baltimore Science Center volunteer and an active contributor to CHARM, a local literary art magazine, where she does art directing and handles publishing logistics. At Poly, Shantika is known for her commitment to Ethics Bowl. As a senior, her focus is on health care and bioethics. Shantika plans to continue her exploration of the medical field in college, while focusing on neuropsychology and bioethics.
