Isabella Bowker

College Completion Program

Isabella grew up in Cranston, Rhode Island as the daughter of two educators. Her first experience working in schools occurred after high school graduation, when she served for a year in a Miami middle school as a math tutor and mentor with City Year Miami, an AmeriCorps program. Isabella arrived in Baltimore in 2014 to study in The Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University, where she also received a Master of Arts in Teaching Elementary School. At Hopkins, Isabella worked at the Everyone Graduates Center, a research organization that applies early warning indicators to identify students at risk of falling behind in secondary and post-secondary attainment. Prior to joining CollegeBound, Isabella taught fourth grade in Baltimore City Schools. She is excited to bring her experience working with students and student data to the College Completion Program team.
