Aviva Thal is originally from Jackson Hole, Wyoming. She graduated with a BA in Hispanic Studies from Vassar College and a Masters in Secondary English and Special Education from Johns Hopkins University. Aviva’s experience as an educator includes arts and media afterschool programming, teaching English as a foreign language in Colombia, and working as a high school English teacher in Baltimore City Schools. Aviva is passionate about supporting Baltimore City youth to be empowered and in control of their futures. In her free time, Aviva enjoys long walks, reading, and spending time with her cat!
