Roselany Montero is a proud Dominican who was born and raised in New York, then transitioned to Baltimore City in 2012. She is the first generation to graduate high school and college. Graduating from Patterson High School in 2018 as a CollegeBound scholar. She later graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Counseling and Human Services and minor in Psychology from Stevenson University in 2022. She officially became an Alum from the College Completion Program. During her time at Stevenson, she gained valuable experiences in her courses to prepare for her passion in Counseling others. Roselany also worked at University of Maryland Medical Center as a Respiratory Technician. After college graduation she joined a non-profit organization called Urban Alliance as an Internship Program Leader. She case managed 30 plus high school seniors’ interns from multiple BCPS, facilitated professional development workshops, mentored, college and career advising, resume writing, mock interview preparation, etc. Gaining experience in non-profit work and being a resource for Baltimore City youth. After two years at Urban Alliance she transitioned to her role as a College Access Program Specialist through CollegeBound Foundation. Roselany is dedicated to supporting, creating a safe space, guiding students/ young professionals and providing a backbone to those who may not have it. She hopes to impact students just as much they have impacted her.
