Insightful, persistent and energetic, Jawana Goins is an excellent example of a model student at ACCE. A socially-conscious young woman, she has a flair for connecting class lessons to currents events. During her junior year, Jawanna interned at the University of Maryland Medical Center by assisting nurses with patient transport and medical record keeping. She currently interns at the Men and Families Center and has worked as a camp aide at the Little Flowers Early Childhood Center in West Baltimore. Even with a busy schedule, Jawanna manages to prioritize her schoolwork while taking care of her younger siblings when her parents are at work. Because of her passion for people and her community, Jawanna aspires to pursue a career in the medical field as a nurse.
