Mahendra Shahi is class valedictorian and an honors student who taken numerous Advanced Placement (AP) courses and college classes at the University of Baltimore.
His civic engagement is evident in his participation in Building Steps, serving as a tutor for elementary school students and participation in the ACCE Civic Engagement Club. He has demonstrated leadership skills as Captain of the varsity soccer team, Class President and President of the Student Government Association (SGA). Mahendra is well versed and able to speak three different languages: English, Nepali and Hindi. Additionally, Mahendra is also learning Spanish to add a fourth language to his repertoire. Learning to code through Codeworks fueled his desire to major in Computer Science in college.
