Go behind the scenes with CollegeBound’s 15th Annual Art, Essay & Poetry Contest entitled “What College Means to Me.” This yearly competition begins in September and is open to all City Schools’ K-8th graders. CollegeBound brings in volunteer judges and this year’s winners were announced during a special awards ceremony on November 4th at the National Aquarium, with appearances from CollegeBound board members Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, Councilman Brandon M. Scott, City Schools’ Board Chair Marnell Cooper. Additional guests included National Aquarium CEO John Racanelli, State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby, Public Defender Elizabeth Julian and more.
